Cadillac is a well-known and esteemed company. A compartment from Caddy is a dream of many and many people. However very few people know (as however we did not know it till certain time), that Cadillac had the partner company in France. There the car was produced as Cadillak La Sale. The French cars are very similar to the cars which have been released in the USA. But only similar. They have a lot of distinctive features in furnish. We do not know whether they have distinctions on a design of the chassis and the engine (all necessary information is not received yet), but the probability of it is not great.

The car which has arrived for restoration in February, 2005, at first sight was very complete and strongly pleased us with it. However at dismantle and drawing up of defective sheets the gladness was reduced considerably. In spite of the car ALL ITS LIFE WAS IN ONE HANDS and supported in good condition, time has put significant enough loss. Rotten places on the iron body, replaced (not original) units, strong deterioration of the engine and other mechanisms. However, it is a normal story for us. The restorer faces these problems every minute. It is necessary to give due to the owner, all replacements of units were made so accurately, that it is difficult to define original ones.

Now practically all units have been checked, and we conduct restoration, manufacturing of units, and search of necessary accessories. Shortly after that we plan to begin assembly of chassis and works with the body. Wait for renovations.

Automobile is not just a lacquer coating.  It includes a tremendous number of brackets, bolts, nuts , cotters and other various small components. The restoration quality of the whole machine depends heavily on the restoration quality each component. That is why after making a list of deficiencies it takes us a great deal of time to process each component, starting with its making ( or restoration) and finishing with the protection of the detail from corrosion. It takes much time and efforts to dye  the components with protective compounds. As mentioned above the main attention is given to the restoration of chassis. At present the assemblage of chassis is ready on 54% with the units being ready on 80-90%. We are planning  to start the assemblage in the end of July.

The chassis of the automobile has been almost assembled. We managed to solve the problem with wire products protection fully. All the wire products of the chassis are galvanized. The springs are not set at present moment. We haven’t got yet all the parts of the shock absorber but still, there are many things to do before they come. Some of the highways have been built already. Nothing prevents to build a  gas-main. The body passed sand cleaning.
