About such legendary car, especially in the anniversary of the Victory, you will not tell anything else besides the facts which are already told. And consequently in the further descriptions we shall stop only on process of restoration and tell about it with a lot of details. But now you can see some photo.

The time runs fast, but we have to do much work. We have decided to promote ГАЗ АА on our site. The works on this project have not been stopped for a minute. Why? Because the object appeared to be complicated. The car seemed to be prepared for the show or some other occasion, so that everything possible was crammed into it. Such a difficult restoration was planned. We are proud of the fair technicians.
The works on this project was aimed at two things: body iron and engine and undercarriage. Evidently there is no other iron in the car except for the cabin. Radiator frame and gasoline tank were perfect. The doors were also in a good state, but they were taken from different crs and were of different shapes, original units were removed from them with the time. The cabin was almost in the required shape, it was like original one. In order to assemble everything we decided to follow such a plan:
- to put in order the radiator frame and gasoline tank
- to restore the doors and make them similar.
- to make the back body posts (the original one were rotted)
- to make the bearing cabin frame (metal units of bottom)
- to cut off the head (it prevents to set back the cabin)
- to assemble all front units, including the frame of the windshield
The results of our works can be senn on the photo. The report on the restoration of the mounting and engine will be given later.

At present we have stopped at №7. The doors have been set, but to fix them better we need to found the side body panels to their place. As they have been cast many times, we decided to make new ones. You may see the half-finished product on the photo. We found out some technical defects.

The works proceed. The side cabin panels are ready. We have started to work over the wooden frame. Some of the chassis units were ordered abroad. Next week we will get them and will make a report.

We received almost all required components. It’s time to set them on the ca and assemble the units. We started with doors. Having not finished the door it is impossible to finish the cab. At the moment we are working over the brake gear and back axle.
7.12.05
A New Year is approaching, there is still much work left, better to have time for everything. The front axle has been assembled and fitted to the car.
We have fitted it just to try it on the car in order not to make blunder with front fenders. The doors have been completed. All required mechanisms took their places. The wooden cabin frame has almost been completed. After it is finished we may start doing the back part of cabin and roof. It seems that we overcame a hardship with restoration of engine. We will talk about it later.
