The orthodox restorers will surely cry down after they see the process’s pictures. The color is wrong, the brakes are wrong, everything is really wrong. I almost agree, but there are some snags to it. It is not a restoration as it is. Except for the automobile ( M 401) which is surely the most popular one. In the sense that nation customization did all its best to improve the product. The engines M408 were even set. The passengers compartments were made over, the locks were fit into the door, and even front axles Dubonais were thrown away. This project is actually what people wanted to see. The compartment is in leather. The seats design is marvelous. Brake system is up to date. The glove boxes are covered with leather. There is a noise blanker on the floor. The color – metallic. So, the restoration can be done with pleasure.

We have installed the combustion engine into the surface under the bonnet. We are assembling the radiator and fill up the moldings with red dies. This trim really fit the Moskvich.

The fuel tank is as usually full of holes near the springs. We have replaced and painted the floor. We are coming to the end.

The carpeting has been sewed and put not only on the floor but on the baggage hold as well. The former owner installed the armrests on the wheel arcs. It doesn’t correspond with the factory sample, but it fit the project’s concept. These innovations are likely to have been indulged into the automobile design 40 years ago. It is worth restoring. The wiring is our particular pride, it is made of special wires ( the first similar experiment was done on GAS 69) and this time the threads of different colors were weaved into the braid. The first start will be soon. Fuel-main is being made at the present moment.
